With the Grace and Mercy of Allah (SWT), Islamia was delighted to host Islamic Wednesday 11th March – Friday 13th March 2026 during the blessed month of Ramadan. The week was filled with faith, learning, creativity, and community spirit, bringing students together through a range of inspiring activities and competitions.
Students participated enthusiastically in workshops, halaqah sessions, charity activities, art workshops, cooking sessions, and interactive competitions. Inspirational discussions explored important Islamic figures and themes, including Maryam, the Queen of Sheba, and women in the Qur’an. A special keynote talk and workshop on modesty, delivered by Nidda, encouraged students to reflect on identity, respect, and confidence in Islam.
A major highlight of the week was the Quran and Hadith Competitions, where students demonstrated dedication, confidence, and excellence in memorisation, recitation, and Tajweed. The competitions concluded with a special Prize-Giving Ceremony on Friday 13th March 2026.
Students competed across all year groups in memorising selected Surahs and Ahadith from the Forty Hadith of Imam an-Nawawi. Advanced students also participated in higher-level Quran memorisation categories, including Juz’ Amma, Juz’ Tabarak, and Juz’ Al-Mujadalah.
