Scholarship

Our parent charity, the Yusuf Islam Foundation, is making the Student Scholarship Programme available for the academic year 2023-2024. Please note that the school is not directly involved in the Scholarship Programme and cannot accept any applications or paperwork to do with scholarships.

The scholarships provide assistance to parents in genuine financial difficulty whose children are academically gifted. Please contact the school for further details should you have any questions about the scholarship process.

The scholarships are awarded based on set criteria. Scholarships can be up to a maximum of 50% of a child’s school fees, depending on the financial circumstances of the parents/guardians. The number of scholarship awards each year is limited and not all applications will be successful. Whilst awaiting the decision of any scholarship application you must continue to pay any school fee that is due from you.

In order to qualify for consideration of the Scholarship award a child must:

  • Be an enrolled secondary school student of Islamia Schools Limited at either Islamia Girls School or Brondesbury College; or
  • Be a prospective student who has been accepted to the school with an offer letter from the school. However, please note that only under very exceptional circumstances are scholarships awarded to new Year 7 students.

Scholarship application window:

Scholarship applications are only accepted between 1st February and 30th April of each academic year. Applications received during this period will be processed for the following academic year starting in September.

To apply for the Scholarship a child must:

  • Demonstrate a strong overall academic background; and
  • Have a clear financial need.

If you wish to apply for a Yusuf Islam Foundation scholarship, please send an initial email to scholarships@yif.org.uk with details of the school name (i.e. Islamia Girls School or Brondesbury College) and the name and year group of your child/ren. You will then be contacted directly about the application process. Please note that if you were awarded a scholarship last year this does not mean that you will be awarded another scholarship automatically this year. When sending an email please put 'Scholarship' in the subject line.
