Non-Uniform Days

Every so often, we have non-uniform days at school. On these occasions, we ask parents to make sure their children still follow our modest dress code and dress appropriately. To keep things simple, here are some items that are not allowed:

  • Ripped clothing, even if it’s considered fashionable.
  • Clothes with offensive words, slogans, logos, or initials.
  • Tight trousers or skinny jeans.
  • Hoodies (unless Year 11 leavers have been given permission at the end of the school year).
  • Leather or leather-look jackets.

On non-uniform days, students should come to school in smart, clean, and respectable clothing. Varnished nails, and other forms of make-up are inappropriate for pupils. Sometimes, we may ask for a more formal look than usual. Where the rules don’t cover something specific, students are expected to respect the judgement of staff and accept their decision.

NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LOSS OR DAMAGE OF ITEMS BROUGHT TO SCHOOL CAN BE ACCEPTED BY THE SCHOOL GOVERNORS, THE HEADTEACHER OR STAFF.
