Friends of Brondesbury & Islamia (FOBI)

Friends of Brondesbury and Islamia (FOBI) is our school’s Parent Teacher Association.

Organised and run entirely by volunteers from Islamia parents, they work to improve learning resources and extracurricular opportunities for our students. They also aim to enrich the Islamia community by bringing together staff, families and friends of the schools.

FOBI also plays a key role in maintaining cohesion between parents and the school. They help to address parental concerns and bring community issues to the senior leadership team.

This page outlines FOBI's activities and work.

Fundraising & Parents Events

FOBI organises coffee mornings and community events for Islamia parents, families and friends, like our Big Socials (for mums and dads separately).

They often help raise funds for our Islamia Hardship Fund —which supports the education of deserving students who have trouble paying their fees.

They run fundraising initiatives and charity evenings often working closely with our students.

Extracurricular Support

FOBI works with staff to support our students through extracurricular clubs and activities like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE); as well as school trips like our annual PGL residential.

They also help school staff with putting on events like parents’ evenings, sports days, school plays and more.

Their hospitality on these occasions makes a world of difference as they welcome parents and the wider community into our school.

Ways you can help

If you’d like to commit to joining us as a volunteer, we’d be doubly delighted. FOBI always needs new hands and thinking.

All general funds raised for Islamia Schools goes towards purchasing important educational resources like books, sports gear, equipment for science, art and learning, minibuses for school trips, renovations on school grounds and more. All Islamia Schools students benefit from our work.
