School Uniform
We are proud of our school uniform and hope you and your child will be too.
Our uniform enables us to identify ourselves as a school community and helps to promote a cohesive school identity. It also demonstrates our students’ commitment to Islamia Girls School, and their dedication to the high moral and academic standard we strive to achieve.
All students are required to wear our full uniform every day (except non-uniform days). Below is a detailed breakdown of all clothing items that make up our school uniform.

- Grey cardigan with school logo.

- Long-sleeved polo shirt in House colour with school logo (*).

Non-Uniform Days
Every so often, we have non-uniform days at school. On these occasions, we ask parents to make sure their children still follow our modest dress code and dress appropriately. To keep things simple, here are some items that are not allowed:
- Ripped clothing, even if it’s considered fashionable.
- Clothes with offensive words, slogans, logos, or initials.
- Tight, figure-hugging trousers.
- Tight or revealing tops.
- Short tops (above the bottom).
- Hoodies (unless Year 11 leavers have been given permission at the end of the school year).
- Leather or leather-look jackets.
- High heels, open-toed, or open-heeled shoes and sandals.
On non-uniform days, students should come to school in smart, clean, and respectable clothing. Sometimes, we may ask for a more formal look than usual. Where the rules don’t cover something specific, students are expected to respect the judgement of staff and accept their decision.
NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITEMS BROUGHT TO SCHOOL CAN BE ACCEPTED BY THE SCHOOL GOVERNORS, THE HEADTEACHER OR STAFF.
Varnished nails, and other forms of make-up are inappropriate for pupils.
