As our students return for the new academic year, both Islamia Girls School (IGS) and Brondesbury College (BCB) are delighted to welcome them back to newly refurbished prayer spaces.
Over the summer, our school mosques underwent a series of improvements designed to refresh and uplift. The renovations included new carpets at both sites, as well as freshly painted interiors. The effects were instantly transformative, creating a welcoming environment of peace and warmth even when it's grey outside!
The mosque at IGS also benefitted from the installation of a Turkish-style chandelier, which elevated the space completely. The elegant centrepiece inspires a sense of tradition and complements the high ceilings of our great hall.
Our school mosques at IGS and BCB also double as assembly halls. They are where our students and staff gather to worship, reflect and learn together in our pursuit of moral and academic excellence.
These much-needed updates will ensure that our prayer spaces are a welcoming point of pride for the Islamia community. They reflect our commitment to maintaining a nurturing school environment.
We are grateful to everyone involved in making the renovations possible. Additional thanks are due to the tireless efforts of our caretaker, Br Flamur and his team, who helped with all the work.
