Introduction

Taught By: Ms Joanna D’Sa, Sports Science (Hons), PGCE, 

Aims And Objectives: For all students to learn about and be aware of the dynamics,the efficiency of the body and how to meet the demands of the enviroment without having to compromise. Also to encourage healthy life style and draw attention to the link between healthy eating/exercising and obesity in youths!

Course Structure: 

* Anatomy and Physiology,
* Analysing Performance and comparing it against the perfect model.
* Evaluating Performance
* Co-ordination
* Skill Games ( Strategy and evasive games) to enhance stuctured thinking and winning methods.
* Swimming Using Different Strokes and gaining confidence in the water also part of  survival skills.
* Circuit Training helps the students and gives them an opportunity to build their stamina, a higher level of co-ordination and muscular endurance.

Assessment: Currently we do not enter our students external examination, but we are happy to take part in full GCSE in the future if the students choose this option.  

Facilities and Resources: Our gymnasium for indoor activities and the playgourd for outdoor activities are of a good size. We also organise structured competitions and other activities such as trips to swimming pools, tennis courts, ice skating rings and equestrian centers to give our students the skills they need.
