Introduction

"Have they not travelled through the land and seen what was the end of those before them - though they were superior to them in power" [Qur'an 30: 9]

Taught by:  Miss. S. Hussain, BA (Hons), QTS.

Introduction:

It is the duty of the History department to try to realise the Qur’anic verse above. This is by giving pupils the opportunity to observe past nations and analyse their fall. From the Romans to the modern day the pupils at Islamia will learn about why History is important, what is good about the past and what we must learn from the past in order to achieve a successful future.

Aims and objectives:

To provide pupils with a clear understanding and knowledge of the past and present and how it affects the world today. Pupils will have the opportunity to look at events that affect and shape our world. They will be observing the roots of conflicts and change and analysing these issues as well as possible solutions that can help solve the many crises humanity faces.
