IGS School Council 2012-2013
Welcome to the IGS School Council’s webpage, where you can keep up to date on all our upcoming events and activities as well as student’s opinions and perspectives. As a School Council we seek to represent all pupils, by putting forward their ideas and successfully putting them into practice. Our aim is to support our school, assist in enhancing its facilities, and help strengthen the bond between the school and its students who elected us.
Every year, the Year 11 school council runs a charity campaign, organising many events and working hard to raise money. After the recent Syrian crisis, we realised that Syria was in dire need of help. This year, we have decided to support the Syria Relief Charity and help ease the suffering of the people in Syria.
So far we have been hard at work and are fully committed to doing the best we can to raise the most we can, as well as adding a little fun into the students’ days.
The Syria Day which we organised was a great success and there was a great charitable spirit as everyone came together to help raise funds.
