Alumni

Memories of IGS stay with its former students long after they have finished their few years at the school and moved on into adult life. It is for that very reason that the IGS Alumni has been set up to allow ex-students, to keep in touch with each other and the school! In this way, Islamia graduates can still draw on the benefits of the school which we hope insha’allah will lead to a stronger Islamic community involving staff, parents and students, past and present.

To become part of the Alumni, and to let us know what you’ve been up to since you’ve left, email your name and graduation year to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Islamia Community

Countless people dream of a united world, but it is only as conscientious individuals that we can make that happen. The aim of Islamia Community is to make IGS a centre for Muslims, (students, ex-students and parents) in which it goes further then equipping its students with qualifications, and becomes a place for all to seek knowledge and engage in dialogue, creating much needed discussion and understanding. With the input of those who attend or have attended, IGS can become a spiritual support system, a place to find Islamic role models and advice for all aspects of our day to day lives. By assisting the growth and development of IGS students we can shape the ummah and the future of this world. By being truly united within our small communities we can hope to see the world come together in the same way insha’allah.

One of the Alumni’s aims is to get parents to be more active within the school and encourage graduates to return and inspire current students. Many pupils each year have to make decisions about their education which will affect their future. Sparing a few minutes to talk about your career, giving some simple advice or even mentoring will most definitely be welcomed and appreciated by the IGS students. There are many other ways in which the Islamia community can grow and the suggestions need to come from you out there. Please do not hesitate to present your ideas for improvements to the school, and get in touch if you feel you can contribute in any way to the Islamia school community. Jazakallahu khayran.
